Pat is hosting this weeks teaparty for young 7 year old Carson. He recently lost his mum to Cystic Fibrosis. Our brief is to send Christmas cheer.
I seem to be operating in slow motion this week, could be the weather - it's 40C/104F here today and it's going to be hotter on Friday LOL. Not really sure why I'm laughing.
Christmas will be well and truly over by the time my card would get to the USA, so I thought a Pirate in the mail, arriving early January just might do the trick.
The background is from my stash - squirt Dylusion ink spray on alfoil, squirt on a lot of water, dunk cardstock in said inky water. Once dried I applied glitter. At some point this background was made for a snowy scene, but it works just as well for the ocean.
I coloured the image with pencils, replaced the skull and crossbones from the top flag and stuck on Carson's name. Sadly I amputated one of his ears, Vincent the Pirate sounds good to me.
Thank you for looking and I hope you have a happy inky week.

What a darling little pirate for Carson.
I am sure he will treasure it, ear or no ear.
Love the background idea. Thanks for describing how you achieved it. I hope to be joining back in to more challenges in the New Year. Stay cool.
