This is for Robin's fun Free for All challenge....red and green as the dominant colours.
I don't wish to alarm you, but I have a very, very limited supply of Christmas stamps. I thought this cutie putootie would be perfect to adapt for Christmas.
I had a lovely sentiment chosen, but I messed up her eyes big time. One eye was looking towards the south pole and the other eye was looking north. Sunglasses made with black micron pen solved the problem.
Working with coloured pencils on paper is great when you forget to add enough highlights. Use an eraser to remove most of the colour, then use a white pencil to cover most of the remaining colour. This result is harder to achieve on cardstock.
After fussy cutting and adhering her to the card with a glue stick, I realised my original sentiment wouldn't work, but I knew this sentiment would be perfect! It is old, lovely thick rubber and I'm thinking it might be Unity Stamps.
I cut one frame in white and one frame in black and offset them on the hammertone cardstock base. The black frame is the inside of an Adli coffee pod box.
I cut some leaves and popped them behind the flowers and sentiment. Thank you for looking and I hope you get a chance to join in.
