I started by sponging frayed burlap over my crackle stencil to cover the front panel then sponged just a bit around the edges, too. Die cut a bright yellow flower and tipped the petals with worn lipstick, then used a bone folder to give them a more natural curve - layered finishing with a rust center dotted with white gel pen. (Same process for the leaves with tone on tone greens) Completed with a die cut greeting in yellow and sponged with more Torn Lipstick and YNS glitter gumdrops.

But aren't those cards with a mind of their own often the best. The background looks like cracked parched earth and yet those beautiful flowers are shining in all their glory. The tone on tone on the leaves looks super too.
