I have the privilege of hosting this weeks teaparty for Jacqueline Zuhde, the loving 82 year old mum of our very own Teapotter Jeannie (Lv2grdn).
The challenge details are HERE. There are twelve things on our Twelve Days of Christmas list....I got 11 things on my card, hence my title Eleven Prancers Prancing.
Gold, silver, red and green were easy and I wrapped scraps of cardstock in real life wrapping paper to make the presents, the cardstock is hammer tone for texture.
The tree was made using Kittie's wonderful Evergreen Tree tutorial. The sentiment represents the one "extra thing" not on the list and the Stickles are my baubles. The holly is a rose leaf punch and was clipped into the shape of holly.
I discovered that I only have one Santa stamp and I must say he looked like he had one too many beers on his travels around the world. I thought I could add some texture paste to his hat and his beard in order to disguise his dodgy face. He looked worse! I said to myself, self Jeannie's mum will have nightmares if she sees this character at the bottom of the stairs, so I positioned him at the top of the stairs and almost out of sight.
I was on track to use all twelve things on the list, but sadly the bright turquoise/bluish baubles turned green as they dried. I could have fibbed and said the camera did it, but it's too close to Christmas to risk a lie!
Thank you for looking and I hope you get a chance to join in or pop a fun Christmas card in the mail to Jacqueline.

Oh, wow, well done on actually tying your gifts, I baulked at that, but it looks just perfect. And Santa peeking out from behind the tree is pretty perfect too, even if it was because you thought he was a sight to make eyes sore. Love your holly, love your tree - I can almost smell it. Actually, it reminds me of the two years that we had a slightly less traditional one when my dad was topping some of the fir trees in the garden - they were just that shade of green, and they smelled as good as a real pine too.

Oh my goodness! I am dying laughing here at your description of your Santa! I just thought you were so clever hiding Santa behind the tree and now I know why. LOL! Your tree (a technique that I have not been brave enough to try) is AMAZING! I love those Stickles baubles. And those wrapped gifts--spectacular. So fun, Susie!

Oh my goodness Miss Susie you make me laugh. I am sure that Santa does not look like he had one too many beers, it was one too many Hot Chocolates and someone might have spiked them. LOL! Seriously that tree technique is just fantastic and I love how it came out on your card. Jacqueline is going to be blown away.

Wow, Susie, how fabulous is this!! I just love the beautiful evergreen tree, I can’t believe the ornaments are stickles - I don’t have much success with stickles. Santa on the stairs is a very clever way to use him, it is obvious he is there. Your presents look super all wrapped up, too! Jeannie’s Mum is going to treasure this!

What a truly incredible card this is Susie. When I first saw it I thought this was a Kittie creation with this amazing 3D Christmas tree. You thought of every little detail from these wonderfully wrapped gifts, to the details on the banister, to all the gems on the tree and your wonderful peek-a-boo Santa- how fun! ~Karen.
