This card is for the Teapot challenge for a young boy who needs some cheering up since he has a rare, painful skin condition. He's 14 years old, so I didn't want it to be cute. I'm a former Middle school teacher, so I know most kids that age like spooky stuff!
It's also for the letter "H" ABC challenge.
I was experimenting and wanted some texture, so I used my heat gun and black glue to create the spider web. I had painted the background on watercolor first. Then spattered bg with black ink.
I stamped and die cut spiders and skull and crossbones, adding Stickles glitter to them. I stamped and embossed the sentiment in red, cut it out and sponged the edges with black. I popped up images and sentiment with 3D pop dots. I added some silver Stickles to web, then layered completed panel onto red Stardream paper and black card stock. tfl

Black glue? I've got some black foam squares, but I've never seen black glue before. The texture must be fabulous and all those spiders are super. The little ones remind me of that scene in one of the Bond films where there is a swarm of crabs! Gorgeous rich colours in the background. I would have thought it was Brushos - the spattering with black is very much more delicate than anything I could achieve, and adds that textured Brusho look to your watercolour.

Oh wow Gracie this is brilliant. I love how creepy and tactile the web is. You sure thought of Rhys when creating this, what 14 year old boy wouldn't love it. Great background and I love all the other spooky bits.
