WooHoo it is tickle a TEApotter time and our brand new guest hostess Jeannie (Luv2grdn) has challenged us with a fun technique she affectionately calls Dipsy Doodle - combine watercolouring and doodling.
I love doodling, but watercolouring is so far out of my comfort zone that I don't even own any water colour paints! So, I gathered up all my liquid water-based inks and re-inkers, diluting some with water, a few eyedroppers, pipettes, spritzer, white pen and a micron pen and happily dipsy doodled for ages.
I did all this on polypropylene paper, which is handy because you can wipe anything off while it's still wet and start again (and again and again and again). I wiped a soft cloth over everything when it was completely dry, but who ever receives this in the TEApot tickle, I don't suggest you lick it LOL.
This background had "mermaid" written all over it, so I coloured this Sheery Baldy cutie with Prismacolour pencils, Zest it pencil blend and highlighted with Copics and liquid pearls.
I purposely coloured the mermaid in a way that she would blend into the background (as much as someone with such a big head can), as I wanted Jeannie's dipsy doodle technique to be the main feature.
Thanks so much for looking and I hope you get a chance to join in.

Ooh, Susie! What an amazing background for that adorable mermaid! It's a stunning coral reef! It reminds me of this "immersive art exhibit" that I went to in Santa Fe. It's called Meow Wolf and it's totally worth googling and looking at pictures. Anyway, they have this coral reef made of pieces of carpet and knitted and crocheted bits. It's almost as amazing as this card!

A definite WOW factor on colors, coloring and one of the most incredible backgrounds I’ve seen! This is spectacular, Susie and so fun too. Lucky the recipient who receives this one! Beautifully done!
