You were right about this Inspiration site being a rabbit hole, Julie! But a cozy, fun one at that. Perhaps if it was winter and dark and dreary...I'd get lost there! Here's the image eggplants that inspired me to create in purples. I've written before how I've loved purple since I was 5. It was my Daddy's fav and my eldest son. There are just so many hues and it blends with blues which lead into blue green...it could never stop!
I am also adding this to the July VSN Challenge, JUL19VSNB which is Marg's color challenge Uluru Rock. Yes, it's THAT iconic BIG rock in the middle of Australia! I don't quite have the bright red, but I definitely see eggplant shapes in the photo of Uluru and I have the purple and greens covered!
The Free4All challenge yesterday got me thinking as well as these eggplants could go as a silhouette. But as I was loading up the stamp with different bits of the purples, I knew 'they' would mix and mingle and make the most gorgeous shades of purple. And that's exactly what THEY did...not me. I used a water brush painting on the really wet pigment.
Once dry, I stamped the sentiment. It's a bit hard to read:
If a blade of grass has the power to move you, if the simple things of nature have a message that you understand, then rejoice for your soul is alive.
Indeed, marvel at that feeling: your soul is whispering to you. I am forever thankful to experience that on a frequent basis.
I appreciate your comments more than I can express...

I'm with you on purples!! Although they have taken a slight back seat to turquoise in recent years... but it is a close call for me. Your purples are marvelous and your twine is an unexpected and fun twist.

Really enjoyed my browse around your gallery this a.m., ;), just wonderfully creative and enjoyable card selection. I LOVE purple, too... so I settled on this entry to leave you a message. This is SO cool and just a great composition of texture, color, and Art. Thanks for sharing it with us and thanks also for the nice comment you left on my Abstract Lavender 2. Hope you enjoyed the first one as well, when you went there for the description info. Hope you are having a stellar day! Teresa
