The Free 4 All challenge this week is Sensational Silhouettes. Angie (ohmypaper!) asked us to use Silhouettes. I'd been playing with backgrounds recently so I decided to do a cityscape. That meant a night sky.
It was fun watching the background develop as it doesn't happen with the first swipe or spray....lots of blotting with a paper towel for me. I used mostly TH DO 'Black Soot', Hickory Smoke', and 'Faded Jeans'. The combination created the purplish haze. I kept adding water and blotting until I was happy with the random look.
The cityscape buildings have some lights still on...I cut teeny tiny bits of yellow paper to show all those paper artists who are busy creating challenges for SCS.
My moon is a fabulous RubberMoon image. There are actually three sizes (ask me how I know!). This one is the largest image. I stamped her with VersaFine 'Onyx Black' and then embossed with the 'Sea Foam White' ep. I did not emboss her face, but double stamped the lips. I removed color from her face with a mixture of bleach and water and used a water brush. I just love her face.
The sentiment is 'Sprinkle Moondust. Spread Magic.' This was stamped three times across the sky.
For the bottom of my card, I used the rest of a vintage zipper in Chartreuse across the buildings. Even cities need little oasis's of green.
I'd love to hear what you think. Thank you for stopping by.

That fabulous moon, sky and skyline make for one fabulous card! Great sky, love the embossed circle around the moon and that sentiment. I feel a shopping spree coming on!!!

I have a fondness for silhouettes and your composition takes me to the city somewhere. The sky is gorgeous and the care you took in creating your moon face really shows. Another lovely O4J creation to inspire us.
