Did someone say ink blending???? Whoa, now thatâs my wheelhouse!! Love to sponge inks on my cards. The only thing that comes close on my âlove to do listâ is splattering, so I did that too!!
Sponged for my moon and then sponged away for my sky. Adding extra black sponging around the card edges and softly between the color changes helps to pull the card together visually and also to soften the bright colors. Removed mask, sponged softly on the moon so it is not so totally white. Stamped the birds and sentiment, and the trees. Put the mask back on and then splattered black, and some white acrylic paint. I could do this all day!!! Being itâs the first official day of retirement for me, maybe I will!

Love your card to the (not quite white) moon in the center of it! totally Gorgeous! Happy Retirement! I'll look to see how much inking you did on your first day!

Such a gorgeous design, Maura, and I love the colourful background, which is perfect for our challenge this month at Stamping Sensations! Thank you for sharing with us.
gosh I just can't sponge but admire how well you do it and wonderful you love it so much. This is a beauty and I really like how you tell us how you pull the card together with the darker blending-had a close look at this and you can hardly see it but oh how right you are in bringing the card together visually. I also like how you used the touch of blending on the moon. A superb card and fab to see you join us at Time Out
Oh wow! I love everything about this! It jumped out of your gallery at me! I love the way you sponged the sky. That sentiment is a favorite of mine. I asked my daughter what her one word would be and she said "enough". She said she needs to remind herself that she is enough. I bought her a necklace with the word on it. This card is a beautiful reminder that we are enough!
