| | I made this card for today's CAS challenge. Misti is our hostess and she has a fabulous challenge for us today to "go Outside." Several suggestions were made for "going outside" so I chose the one that is the hardest challenge for me - coloring outside of the lines (bites nails here). The sentiment area was masked with masking paper, then the flower and leaf images were stamped with versamark ink on the top half, sprinkled with white EP, and heat embossed. Then repeated this process for the bottom portion of the card. Leave the masking paper in place and using sponge daubers, sponge color into the flowers and leaves going slightly outside of the embossing for a loose color look. The colors are slightly richer in real life than what you see in this photo. When done, remove masking tape and stamp the sentiment. Cut 2 very thin strips of blackberry bliss cardstock and glue in place to define the sentiment area better. This card was really fun to make so thank you very much for this terrific challenge today Misti. Thanks for looking today too! ~Karen. |
