Upon finding my heron inspiration, I remembered I had an old heron stamp from Onyxxpressions. Wish they were still in business. They had such pretty stamps.
I wanted to try a credit card for my background after recently seeing Karen (k dunbrook) do such a wonderful background with one. I found an old credit card, put some ink down on cling wrap, misted with water, ran my credit card through it, and swiped my watercolor paper with it. It gave me a good sky and then I swiped some white acrylic here and there over the inks.
I watercolored my image with Distress Markers and water. I wanted the heron to look really white. I stamped and cut out another heron and did it in the white acrylic paint and glued on top of the stamped one.
I enjoyed doing my card and hope you will find some wonderful inspiration and make something awesome.

Wow!! This really caught me eye, it's so beautiful. We just stayed on San Juan island, Wa. and had a heron very much like this hanging out every evening. They really are so pretty and graceful.
