ABC11K11: This week's (until tomorrow anyway!) letter is the letter K. My K's are the trio or cluster of kites and the word kind in the sentiment.
I wanted to try the stamp shifting that was the technique challenge last week.
Inspired by today's color challenge colors, I started with my ground. Using the stamp shifting technique, I first stamped one of the stripes from the Get In Line stamp set using Garden Green. I put it on my Misti and then curved it for my ground look. After stamping that one several times with Garden Green, I put the next stamp down right beside it on the Misti to replicate the curve, and stamped that one several times with Wild Wasabi. Then I put my final stamp down next to it and stamped several times with Granny Apple Green. I had first tried to stamp all three together but found that stamping them in succession was what I needed to do. Of course, I had to curve my "ground" which, for me, made the shifting more challenging. I selected this sentiment out of my sentiments with the word kind, because it is a photopolymer stamp and I could shape it to follow the curve of the ground.
I then stamped my two Poppy Parade kites directly onto the card stock and stamped the Mango Melody kite onto scrap cs and cut it out. I popped the Mango Melody kite up using dimensionals and then drew in the kite strings with a pen.
Thanks for looking!
