I made this card for 2 challenges. First, I needed a card for this week's Alphabet Challenge for the letter H. The H in this card is the Happy Hauntings Cricut Cartridge I used and the double challenge is to make it a Halloween card. But, to get started on this card, I went to this week's Featured Stamper gallery. Catherine (cdimick) is our Featured Stamper this week and I just keep finding cards I want to make. I chose this gorgeous card to case because of the black background with the ghosted images on it. There is a circle image panel and a sentiment at the bottom: SC737, ABC10K25 Kitten Birthday by cdimick at Splitcoaststampers. My jaw hit the floor when I first saw this card of Catherine's and I have thought about it ever since. I still want to make something that is more similar to this card, but for the alphabet challenge, I wanted to make a Halloween card. My dad died very suddenly and unexpectedly last Halloween and I was not sure how I was going to manage this upcoming Halloween, but Ann's challenge solved that problem. Thank you Ann! I die cut the flourish from the rectangle panel, then I adhered a large piece of 2-sided sook wong (score tape) to the back of this rectangle piece. Then I took both chunky and fine black glitters and mixed them together in a lid, then poured that over the open areas of the die cut and rubbed the glitter into the sook wong tape. Fun! It is so sparkly in real life too. The ghost and sentiment are both cut out twice and the pieces glued together to give them more stability. What a fun card this was to make. Thank you for looking today! ~Karen.

Super pretty Halloween card with all that glitter and the elegant Boo. I love Halloween cards, Karen, so I was glad to see a recent one in your gallery. So sorry to hear that your Father passed on this day - it makes every holiday and event a bit less joyful when we miss those we love. GIANT hugz.
