Ladies...what another very fun week in the challenges! Thank the CAS (Humor), CC (Springy colors), and the WT (4-4 use 4). Lisa, I was intrigued with your call to use 4 somethings. I ventured back into my gallery to see cards I had used in fourths. It was fun and a few ideas popped into that gray matter of mine. Funny, I have a few stamps of small children, young girls, and women together. First I was going in one direction, but as often happens with me, I veered!
I've had this B Line Designs 'Fountain of Women' for many years. I love it. I've used it with Red, Blue (it was a Moxie Fab choice), Purple, and now Green...I'll be working my way through the color wheel for years! But I needed 4 somethings...and then it hit me, Kathleen's Humor challenge at the CAS...I could finally use my Gypsy Rose Lee quote and a fantastic Art Impressions woman.
Now...I've mostly covered woman #1's bum in earlier cards with different things I'm wearing, tattoo,red..., one word. And that's where my Yoga posing woman comes in...but she is a left facing image. No problem...I'll just use my Reverse Image stamp...except I can't locate. Here's how I overcame that slight detail. Stamped it onto one of my large acrylic blocks. Then stamped that image onto my paper...FOUR times in order to get her workout outfit correct. And her left arm covers the aforementioned bum! The lovely young women were paper pieced with My Mind's Eye lovely green patterned papers.
The joke is an unknown stamp quote from Gypsy Rose Lee...inked with the 'Imperial Purple'. I cut apart the punch line, edged with notebook paper and then used a bit of lime green pom pom trim.
I don't have as much fluff as my AI woman, but I do second Gypsy's sentiment: I have EVERYTHING now that I HAD twenty YEARS ago, except NOW it's all LOWER!
Keep on keeping on friends! Thanks for stopping and your comments, they feed my gray matter!
