This is for Stef's great color challenge with a color combination of granny apple green, melon mambo, so saffron, and pool party, with a spring image for dessert.
This card turned into a nightmare for me as I made numerous mistakes that took me in directions I never intended to go. I started by stamping the image with black ink onto white cardstock and coloring with copics that are similar to Stef's colors. After coloring the image, I began outlining the image with a copic color closely related to pool party. I messed up the outline, so I had to color the white cardstock with the same copic to try and hide the mistake.
I wasn't happy so I fussy cut the right side of the image. While doing so, I noticed I had accidentally splattered a "melon mambo" spot on the cardstock when I removed the cap from the copic maker. I was ready to trash the cardstock.
Then I decided that I would just add spots around the main rose with the pink copics I used. What a mess. I am pretending I intentionally used the pointillism technique around the rose. Do you buy that??? I could go on and on with the mistakes, but I won't!
The bottom line is that I decided I had spent too much time on making the card that I would upload it regardless. So, if you stop by to view, I so appreciate your effort!

Bev, I love the richness of your roses....just gorgeous and looking so real. No way to know you messed up anything and I really, really like the pointillism. I had forgotten that technique and always loved it. I issued it for a DTGD challenge once upon a time. Oh, and the embossing folder is so pretty.

WOW! Bev, this is amazing. They do say that there is no such thing as a mistake in stamping, just an excuse for embellishment. Your finished card is perfection!

Many years ago I grew a garden of roses from barefoot to trees I had many colors of them from my fav lavender back then which were called blue roses and I had those in every type from barefoot, potted and 4 trees. So this beauty of a card also already had me at yellow but your rose is perfection

The end results is beautiful Bev.... It was the trimmed edge that I liked first. I had bought a couple of flower stamps with dies that cut the edge a week or so ago. Ohhhh, I hate when you open a cap and a spot of color shows up just where you don't want it.... Mine is usually a red too
