This is for Polly's terrific mixed media challenge where we are to use metal or a faux metal technique.
I covered an A4 sheet of cardstock with crumpled metal roofing tape (scrunch up the tape before removing the protective adhesive strip).
Once the sheet was completely covered, using an eye dropper, I put 3 drops of blue ink on the foil, tilted the sheet and let the ink dribble. I then spread it around a bit with an old brush, then hit it with the heatgun.
I repeated this process with turquoise ink, again heat setting it. Once dry the ink is permanent. I cut off a small rectangle to make the card.
To make it mixed media I added some yellow Copic marker at the top of the cutout. This is where it got interesting, whilst I couldn't remove any of the ink with a baby wipe or water, the ink disappeared where ever it was touched by the Copic marker.
This is good to know, as it will be an easy way to correct any of the ink blobs, etc. The downside is potential damage to the Copic.
The ballet troupe was made as a bit of fun ages ago. In MS Word, using the copy/paste function numerous times, some are resized and slightly rotated. Coloured with Prismacolour pencils then fussy cut (easily done as it's just copy paper).
The left over background will go into my stash, I can see an underwater scene and a mermaid! The extra ballet dancers are not stuck on this piece, it is just to show how far 3 drops of two different India Inks can cover.
This is for a friends granddaughter who is studying Art and Ballet, I think she will get a kick out of this. Thanks so much for looking and I hope you have a happy, inky weekend.

I have more of your cards in my pinned "learn technique" than anybody! How you think of using stuff we would not consider usual craft supplies...just amazing.
