Happy Valentine's Day! Sally Merla (CraftyMerla) is the featured stamper for this week on SCS. Congratulations, Sally! You have a wonderful gallery and I selected this wonderful Valentine card to case. The commonalities of our cards are a large heart as the main feature and small pink hearts around the card.
I die cut the Hero Arts swirly heart and used it as a stencil to apply three different pink inks onto a piece of white cardstock. I ensured the die cut heart was also covered with the inks. After stenciling the heart, I attached the die cut heart over the stenciling and die cut the piece with a HFC heart die. I applied glue and glitter to the heart. Although the glitter was glued to the paper, it still fell off somewhat. To prevent this, I brushed Mod Podge Gloss-Lustre' over the heart. When dried, no glitter fell off.
I dry embossed the negative white cardstock with a hearts embossing folder. I adhered microbeads to two embossed hearts and attached a few crystal hearts on other embossed hearts.
The CottageCutz "Love Phrase" die was used to die cut the sentiment, love, multiple times from pink cardstock. I adhered the layers together and attached the sentiment to the card. It is a little difficult to see the remainder of the sentiment, YOU SO MUCH, that I embossed with pink embossing powder, cut out with an ODBD die, and attached to the card.
Sallie, I hope I did justice to your wonderful Valentine card!
I am also submitted this card for today's WT727 challenge to use four-letter words. Obviously, my word is "love".
Thanks for viewing and leaving comments! They are greatly appreciated!
