What a fantastic website Julie (justwritedesigns) selected for today's Inspiration Challenge. This is my inspiration piece.
As soon as I saw The Old Mill poster, I did not look any further as I knew this is the poster I would represent on my card. The poster is almost identical to a canvas I have hanging in my craft room. The picture is of the Glade Creek Grist Mill located at Babcock State Park, WV. This mill is very special to me as I went to the State Park regularly as a child, especially as a teenager. It is located a few miles from my childhood home. I have spent many hours sitting on the big rock at the mill. Just below the mill was a teen dance hall. My sister and I visited the hall as often as possible on the weekends. It was a good place to meet guys! LOL. The area is so beautiful during the fall and winter, and the poster flooded my mind with memories when I saw it. I love the mill!
Thank you for stopping by to view my card!

Oh this is absolutely gorgeous! I love the soft scene you've created here! It reminds me of The Old Mill, one of my favorite restaurants when we travel. Beautiful!!
What a beautiful card with a beautiful inspiration photo, Bev !! I love both! Your painting is so fabulous with various autumn colors and the scene is very nostalgic. Love the stitched oval frame and textures in the background, too. Somehow I missed this. Thanks for sharing these beauties. Hugs.

What a gorgeous card! I love how well it replicates your photo and your childhood memory. How fun!! We have a mill that has a restaurant and some fun trails about an hour from where I live. We went last year during spring break.

I just love this beautiful scene, Bev. It is so peaceful...I can almost hear the flow of the water. I meditate and use mindfulness throughout the day . Sometimes I use a one minute meditation where I visualize something I like in my head and take an instant vacation. I think I will invision myself siting right by your lovely water mill today. Thank you for the inspiration.
