Happy Saturday! Stacy provided a wonderful website for her Inspiration Challenge today; an ETSY Birdhouse site.
There are so many wonderful items on this site from which to choose as an inspiration piece. I selected several, started cards, and decided I wanted to browse the site again. I'm glad I did as I found this beautiful canvas of "Winter Birds and Bird Feeder" that inspired me to draw the scene on my card.
It took me hours to sketch and color the scene as I am not an artist. However, I had fun doing it. I used a pencil to lightly sketch the scene first. Then I used a Copic Multiliner 0.05 to draw the scene by following the pencil lines. I used Copic Sketch Markers to color the scene: Cool and Warm Grays for the trees, ground, water, and ice; E4s for bird feeder; and a Pale Blue Gray for the sky. I die cut the cardinals and chickadees using OI bird dies from red and X-Press Blending cardstocks. I used Copics to color the chickadees as best I could.
Thank you for stopping by! Any comments are greatly appreciated!
