Hi there! I'm finally sharing a card made for this week's Color Challenge (yup, I'm a little late for my DT duties as I was not home when it went live). Barbara is hosting this week and she has chosen So Saffron, Blackberry Bliss and Bermuda Bay, with a dessert option to use ribbon. In addition, I'm joining this week's Teapot Challenge where we are to incorporate 4 things on our card by using the words Happy New Year for design inspiration, which I had with Y=yellow, N=Nuvo drops, E=embossing and R=round.
Finally, I've used the sketch challenge from Fab Friday for my card layout, although I changed the orientation from portrait to landscape.
I used Copic markers in colors similar to those for the challenge and Mossy Meadow (a SU defined neutral) to color up this whimsical yellow tabby sitting in the garden. The die cut focal point was added to a neutral shade embossed panel and mounted on the white card base.

How adorable, Stef! I really have to learn that flicking technique with Copics! Look how real the kittie looks with her stripes! Love the layout, the embossed neutral layer, but most of all that great coloring!

I love the way you personalized the colouring on your kitty! He went from flat to fabulous! :-) Such a sweet image supported beautifully with your embossed background and pretty bit of ribbon!
