This is for Jeanne's fun mixed media challenge. Sadly I didn't pay enough attention to the challenge requirement - all my brain registered was TIME.
Dinner time came to mind, so let's pretend that there is a clock behind her head and "Dinner's Ready" is a phrase.
Tranna enabled me to buy this hoot of an image. Usually I colour with pencils first and then do Copic highlights, this time around I did the reverse, however her skin is coloured with pencils.
Because this is just copy paper, you have to be extra careful not to get too close to the edge of the image, as Copics tend to bleed when they are the base colour.
Her hair was fun to do, I actually coloured it on the wrong side and let it soak through to the front, then I just added a bit more colour.
To make it a bit more mixed media I added distress ink stenciling and I used some with paint to fix up a dodgy floor tile.

Sometimes the story about the card is as much fun as the card itself. This turned out great and I can so identify with the half-read directions and running with an idea, only to discover later that I missed a key component. It happens! It's all good.
TFS, this fun card.

Too funny and oh so cute Susie. The tweetie sentiment made me smile just a bit... hehe... poor poor tweetie... You have rocked the checkerboard floor. Big Hugs
