This card is for two of this week's challenges. The F4A451 hosted by Jeanne S. asked for using a stencil on a card. The CC708 hosted by Pam McKay includes the color combination of So Saffron, Garden Green, and Real Red. Dessert for this challenge also includes using a stencil.
To make the card, I first die cut three leaves from white cardstock, colored them, and attached them strategically to PTI yellow cardstock. Then I die cut the same three leaves from the same PTI yellow cardstock and discarded the leaves. I used the Hero Arts "The Woods" stencil and sponged a light gray ink over this panel. I used the same stencil to add Glass Bead Glitter Gel onto the panel. After the gel dried, I used this negative panel to attach over the colored leaves, raising the panel with foam tape. I used the gray ink in hopes it would make the gel show up more, and now I regret it as I don't like it as I thought I would.
There are mistakes on this card; however, this has been a bad week for me and getting the card made took energy from me. Unfortunately, I had a death in my family (i.e. lost a little baby) and was also dealing with the hurricane. Regardless, I got the card made and it fits perfectly for Jeanne's challenge.

Oh, previous Bev, my dear friend and sister! My heart aches for you having read about the loss of a precious baby! I'm so sorry and am praying for you and this dear mom and dad. I also know the stress of hurricanes, and I am glad that it did not hit your coast, although you surely had severe weather from it. I don't know what you had in mind for this card, but it turned out beautiful (as all your cards do). I love the brilliant idea of using the leaf dies and using glass bead gel (which I have and need to get some tips from you). It's gorgeous, and I see that you've finished it beautifully inside! Precious sister, I wish I could give you a warm, loving hug. Perhaps one day we'll see each other. I hope that we might get over to your coast next year. Wouldn't that be grand to meet and spend time with each other? Hugs and love...always! xoxo

Mistakes? Really? This card is so stunning there is no way there are mistakes in it. I adore the card design and the glass bead glitter gel makes my heart go pitter patter. You added beautiful stenciling to this card design as well. I am truly impressed you made such a gorgeous card in the midst of all you are going through Bev. I am so sorry to hear of the loss of the little one and that you are dealing with the hurricane too. Take care my friend... ~Karen.

Lovely card! The leaves are stunning! I think the grey works quite well and looks like the misty fall mornings we have this time of year in the bush. I particularly love that sentiment!
