Can you tell what sort of books I like to read??? This card should give you a hint...lol. Yes, I'm hooked on mysteries! My favorites are probably Scandinavian mysteries (Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish, Icelandic...)..not sure why they are so interesting but I love 'em! I did the checkerboard flooring technique and added a printed out bg from an Edward Gorey site. The suspects on this are from the artist Edward Gorey...I have a few stamps with his images. They're pretty cool. I added the ribbon as a curtain and fastened with brads. I wonder "Hoo" will get this card....

This really makes me smile. It's perfect for the Golden Age detective fiction I love so much. The checkerboard floor is so well done, the card looks 3D like a little puppet theatre we used to have.

OMG. I love the Gorey characters -- I always loved the opening of PBS Mystery with the Gorey characters. Didn't realize they were available as stamps. I enjoy the more gentle mysteries -- the only Scandinavian one I've read is Girl with the Dragon Tatoo and that was so edgy I could barely sleep while I was reading it.

I'm with everyone who has commented on this adorably created card! I am squealing it is so delightful, clever, unique. Didn't even know anybody was doing Edward Gorey characters. The way you did the stage curtain is genius...mind if I case that...
can't wait to see who is the lucky duck to receive this.
