Sandy is our guest hostess for the Blast From the Past Tickle a Teapotter challenge, and she's inviting us to bring out all those old supplies and show them some daylight.
Well, I used my Fiskars texture plates for adding texture to the grass and sky in two of my waterfall panels, I made a waterfall card which is a pretty old technique (and how I discovered SCS), I used plenty of eyelets and some fibers, and I used one of my first stamp sets. I made quite a few waterfall cards with it in the past - all pre-dating my SCS gallery. I can tell you that they sure look dated when compared to this - which I freshened up by using a cling wrap background (Brusho powders, spray starch, Brusho Acrylic silver shimmer spray), and adding some embossed vellum over the anchoring strip. Oh - I guess corner punches are pretty old too...
I stamped my four panels and coloured the bugs with pencils, also added pencil backgrounds to the ladybug and ant, and sponged a background for the bee with a little stencilling. The dandelion head on the front is from a Unity set, and it's just about the right size to match with an embossing folder which was a recent magazine freebie. I used my Sakura silver pen to add lots of edging - that's also a very early purchase.
Sigh, I almost never stick a card front onto a base upside down but this one I did, and had to trim it down and cut a new base.

Sabrina, your vibrant bg colors and technique are marvelous with your waterfall card feature! I had to look up Fiskars texture plate and assume this is considered the first generation of dry embossing! Very cool!!
Love all the fun fibers used as the pull for your sweet nature inspired waterfall card!
