This is a "freedom" birthday card for my sister-in-law #3 of 8. My Chatterbox verse inside gives her the "freedom" to be 29 AGAIN this year...making this patriotic card into a birthday card!
I found seven SCS challenges that inspired something about my card, starting with the Inspiration Challenges Serengeti Fashions.
#1. IC656 - Inspiration Challenge/ 6.30.18 - Serengeti Fashions. This Paileys & Plaid Tunic: https://www.serengetifashions.com/it...1=WF439+RMUL+S inspired me to make a red, white, and blue card, which led me to other challenges.
#2. FS595 - Featured Stamper/ 7.1.18 - Visiting cheiron (aka Cheiron Brandon) at her gallery to find additional inspiration was fun and resulted in ideas for my layout. I actually saw two cards that I used: Vintage 4th and SSS Challenge Blog Happy 4th Birthday Card. From these, I decided to use Inchie squares and a patriotic birthday card.
#3. CC694 - Color Challenge/ 7.3.18. . .Yeah! with their current "A Bushel of Red, White, & Blueberry" challenge, I get to do a color challenge!
#4. DDABC18R - Alphabet Challenge/ 6.20.18. . .Color Letter R = Real Red. This one fell into place as well. Bonus = Rough Textures. I did not add any additional texturing...the Authentic paper has its own "dimpled" coarse texture, for which it is known.
#5. WT693 - Ways To Use It/ 6.21.18. . ."Summertime Fun." Neighborhood Friends & Family Potluck and fireworks celebrating the 4th is always fun to look forward to each summer.
#6. F4A411 - Free for All/ 1.5.18. . ."Seeing Stripes." This gave me the idea to use striped paper on my card...in my middle Inchie Square!
#7. USEIT2018 - ongoing all year. I used really old patriotic Authentique paper that I bought way back in 2013. I forgot how much I like it! I was able to give my card a vintage look with this paper, which I always love to do. My stars and postage stamp Spellbinders Nestabilities are also really old, but I may have used them in the last year, so they may not be dusty enough!

Oh, missed this one this week. Great patterns of paper and just the right patriotic colors. I want one of these cards with the sentiment that allows to be 29 again. HA Awesome card, Carlene.

WOW! Carlene, my first impression was just delight at seeing such a gorgeous red, white, and blue card with such stunning DP! The elements are also what just delight me with the shapes and the beautiful layout! It's a piece of artistry, and I love how you've managed to use it for SO many challenges! WOW again! Hehe! Truly, what a great birthday card to celebrate your SIL's birthday! Love the sentiment about being 29 again! And with the Authentique DP you've used, it definitely has a vintage and quilt-like feel to it! I LOVE it! Hugs and love, sweet friend! xoxo
