Mary is our hostess for this week's Color Challenge. She gave us a beautiful color combination of SU Dapper Denim, Tangerine Tango, and Sahara Sand. Her dessert option is to use SU Soft Suede. I used all of the colors, or colors closely related, on my card.
My card for the challenge is a beach scene because I just received the new Hero Arts My Monthly Kit for June 2018, and it is all about the sea and beach. Therefore, I had to use it for this card.
This monthly kit is the best one yet. The included Sand Embossing Powder is remarkable as it looks like sand when it is heat set. It is close in color to the SU Sahara Sand color. I used it on the card for the sentiment, footprints, and frame. Doesn't the "hello" sentiment look like someone wrote it in the sand?
I created the ocean with stamps from the kit and blue colors, one of which is close in color to the SU Dapper Denim. The sky and clouds are a light blue, and the clouds are covered with a White Puff Embossing Powder that raises more than usual when heat set.
I stamped the sailboat in Tangerine Tango and beach ball in Sahara Sand, Tangerine Tango, and Dapper Denim. The rope corner die cut is made from Soft Suede cardstock.
When assembling the card, I attached the frame to the main panel with Double-Sided Foam Tape and the panel and frame to a piece of SU Dapper Denim cardstock. This was attached with a strong adhesive to the white card base.
I greatly appreciate you stopping by and leaving a comment!

Bev, what an amazing creation. I can't figure out what I like the most. I love the sentiment flowing like the sand, your awesome clouds and the die cut rope. A really fabulous scene!

Beautiful beach scene....I especially like the sandy framing and the footprints and Hello in the sand! Pretty sky full of soaring seagulls and nicely done waves....looks like a fun day at the beach to me, Bev!

Ooh, I am glad you told me you got this one too, this is brilliant, I love that you heat embossed the clouds. ( I think they were the hardest thing to choose colors for for me with end of the week tired brain haha) The layers of texture and depth this has is gorgeous Bev.
