My third (and I'll try to make it my last) card for this week's Tickle a Teapotter challenge: Sing, Sing a Song. You can find the challenge Here.
For the base, I sponged distress inks onto white card - mustard seed, peacock feathers, shabby shutters, wild honey, tumbled glass, tattered rose, spun sugar. Stamped Art Neko Paris collage with black, then cleaned stamp and partially stamped with Delicata gold.
Then I embossed the piece with Cuttlebug KassieÂ’s Brocade, sponged more colour over a la Faux Patina, then Encore Gold and gold EP. Stitched with thick black thread. Edged with white EP, two layers.
Added shabby white and aged teal chunky EP. Bicycle RAK, popped up on foam, and Sizzix flower branch with QuicKutz leaves. I spent ages trying to add a sentiment to this, and a little gold heart, but DH said "just no". So to add a little more dimenesion, I burnished the Eiffel Tower from the back with a stylus, and rubbed some Craft-T rub-ons over it. The word Paris on the collage is also highlighted with clear Nuvo drops.
We were in Paris last month for my birthday, and the cherry blossoms and horse chestnut trees were in full bloom. But I don't just love Paris in the springtime, I love it almost any time of the year. On a cold, crisp day in December it's just wonderful.

Wow, this is a beautiful card. Love that you took a collage style stamp and turned it into a real collage. The bicycle diecut is a wonderful addition, along with that beautiful gold/sown border. I think your DH was right to hold you back from even more and stopped you at just the right point. (pretty sure mine would be a "more, more" type if I asked his opinion.)

Gorgeous card, Sabrina! And I agree that Paris is wonderful anytime of year! Have been there in winter, fall, and spring! What a fabulous city! Been there with a friend when we had little money, and have been there when I had money. Always had a great time! Your card really brought back some incredible memories.

This card is as exciting and interesting as I imagine Paris would be. I may never get there. My husband has already been and it's not on his bucket list. But I think if I work on it he may take me. I just love all the details you have put into this -I love the black stitching!

I have never been to Paris, but it is easy to see how inspired you are by this city. Your card is quite simply: ah-mazing! I am always in awe of all the inks and other goodies you use to make a card with Sabrina (if I did this I would have mud!). I am chuckling about your DH advising you to "just say no" to a sentiment. Ha! What a gorgeous card this is! ~Karen.

Oh Sabrina - you've outdone yourself with this one. There's so much to take in. You thought of every little detail. One of us is going to be a very lucky teapotter.
