A couple of fun challenges & I was able to combine both the CAS & TLC today. While I was pondering the doodled frame, I thought hmmm..I could make the greeting look like a chalkboard & white emboss the greeting. Then doodle a frame on it & around it.
After I white embossed the greeting & die cut it, I used the white pen to doodle the inside frame & the black pen to doodle the frame outside. The teacher tools were colored & fussy cut. The white hearts are part of the greeting on the inside & I inked just them & stamped them. I didn't want to heat emboss them, so I used the white paint pen to make them stand out more.
Thanks so much for looking. It's on my blog w/ closeups & Copic colors : The Write Stuff

My daughter is a 4th grade teacher and my mother taught 1st grade. This is such a lovely appreciation card. They give so much to help children learn. Love the colors and layout. The chalkboard background is perfect.

GREAT chalkboard effect background and doodled frame in black ink and white! Your bright and cheerful primary-colored image of school supplies, books and an apple is the perfect choice for this challenge!
