I created this card to submit to Barbara's beautiful color challenge using SU colors of Tranquil Tide, Sweet Sugarplum, and Rich Razzleberry. This weekÂ’s dessert option is to make a one-layer card. My card is a one-layer card and I used Copic sketch markers closely related to the color combination to color the Penny Black Tulip Bouquet image on my card.
To create the card, I covered the Penny Black Tulip Bouquet stamp with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and stamped the image onto Neenah Solar Card Stock. I used the copics to color the image. After coloring the image, I colored the remainder of the panel to give the card the appearance of a multi-layer card. I created that by masking the floral image and a portion of the panel and brushed on PTI Sand Dumes ink. Afterward, I left the floral mask on and removed the mask that was around the floral image. Then I laid a PTI stencil over the panel and brushed on pink ink to cover the remaining white space. I traced the edges of the light tan section with an SU Creamy Caramel marker. To finish the card, I die cut the panel using an ODBD Pierced Rectangle die, stamped on a sentiment from an ODBD Aloha Stamp Set, and added sequins.
Thank you so much for stopping by to view my card. A special thanks to those who leave a comment!

Wow! I'm impressed. This is so beautifully executed it looks 3D not one layer. Your beautifully colored tulips stand out against the pale stenciling in your background. Did I say wow!
