Once again, I am delighted to join the Color Challenge as guest designer this week, and I found that I love this combination. I put out half sheets of the card stock to help me visualize what I might do this the colors. Well, these finally spoke flowers...and you say, "No, you?!" Haha! Most of you know that I love flowers, and so this was such fun to color. I used X-Press It Blending Card because it holds the Copic ink well and allows for nice blending. I worked hard with my Copic markers to blend the coloring of my petals from the darkest areas out to the petal edges. So, my card also fits the brand new Dirty Dozen gallery, "Perfect Blend." Be sure to check it out and welcome our newest Dirty Girls! They are amazing!
After coloring it up (and allowing adequate space to figure out what I was going to do with it), I knew I wanted a Scripture verse, and this one fit perfectly snuggled up near the leaves of the flowers. Just love my MISTI to make sure exactly where I want it. I was going to do a rectangle, and then I ended up making a square card. I decided this decorative die would add just the right amount of "pretty" to it...don't you think? I placed the die on the image and lightly traced inside, fussy cut it, and pierced it. I adhered it to the Soft Sky die (that has several layers to make it sturdier), and then I added an "easel" flap on the back to make it stand. I passed on dessert this week. I know my friend will want to keep this card as a reminder that no matter what her cares are (and we all have them - big and small), God cares for her and wants us to place all our burdens on Him.
So that's it for me today, but thanks so much for taking a closer look. I hope you like it, and I especially hope that you'll join us this week for the Color Challenge! Fun colors, right? What will you do with them? ;)

Cheryl, your last comment on my card brought me to tears. Yes indeed, I/we need to be encouraged. Your cards and words are always an encouragement to me (she smiles). And I absolutely agree that both dies were the right choice as was the color of the card base itself. The pointillism you did around the flowers is spot on my friend! Another gorgeous, gorgeous card! And BTW: I adore Julie Tillman's cards and her scripture stamp line. Hugs, Susie ~

So pretty, Cheryl. Your coloring is amazing and you have framed this so nicely with this diecut frame and accented with the paper piercing.
