Love this challenge - hearing the songs of birds makes me happy! I love it when I am outside of course, but I also listen to music before I go to bed that includes bird and other nature noises in the bg - and it is so calming.
I used the smooshing technique on acetate technique again - I made several sheets, so you will be seeing more! (thanks to inspiration from the CAS mix-up Challenge). I found that it worked best for me if I just put some dots of ink in multiple places on the foil, smooshed the acetate, and then repeated this till I liked the results. I had to hold the acetate against a white bg to actually see how it looked and to decide when I was satisfied. As this dried I die cut my birds, frame, sentiment panel and then stamped sentiment. Attached all to the card front. Love how shiny the acetate looks but of course you can't see this in the photo.

Except for the birds that used to wake me up every morning at about 5 a.m. in our previous home
I love the white silhouettes atop that beautifully colored background. Beautiful, Maura.

What a beautiful card. Love the acetate smooshing with those pretty colours of alcohol inks. The die cuts birds look stunning against it. Thanks for sharing this with us at The CAS Mix Up Challenge.

Beautiful! Such a wonderful blend of colours in the acetate background! And perfect with the simple white bird die cut and frame. I like the way you have a bit of the acetate showing on the outer edge of the frame. I'm so glad the challenge I'm hosting at CAS Mix Up has inspired you - thanks for joining us with another card!
