Two fun challenges today. First of all, Shirley has given us a recycling challenge. My favorite kind! I have a box of "trash" just waiting to be put on a card. I decided that I needed a get well card for my stash and I thought using the sketch from SC28 and these bandaids connecting the panel back together would be fun. When I found this digi, that helped choose my "recycling". This little bouquet of flowers that I put in her hand was on a little purse that all the bridesmaids used in my brother's wedding (ok, so he'll be celebrating his 25th Anniversary next year and if that makes me a hoarder, so be it). My SIL made us each little purses made of doilies with these little flower decorations. I also tied a bow on the flower using some ribbon off the purse.
For Anna's spray, splatter, sprinkle or smoosh challenge I also stuck with the recycling theme and used an old rejected background. It was one I made by spreading distress inks on a stencil, spraying with water and smooshing onto the paper. I really hated the way it came out and just stuck it in my leftovers basket. I was amazed at how it came to life behind this little girl. And that's why I never throw anything away...

Twenty-Five years? Lol!!! You are definitely a hoarder, but that's ok, look what you found in the process and it works perfectly in your little girl's hand! Lovely bg...good thing you didn't discard it! ; )

Oh my goodness, Jennifer, this is darling!!!! And should win a prize for oldest recycled item used on a card! I’m impressed that you remembered you had this little vintage bouquet, that you thought of such a clever way to use it AND that you knew where you stashed it. Well done! My very favorite part of this card is the 3 bandaids spanning the torn background paper — what a great idea for a get well card.
Such a fun and inspiring card. Thanks for sharing your talent and creativity!
