Here's my card for today's Inspiration Challenge - Spoonflower - a web site of wallpaper, fabric and gift wrap - so much beautiful inspiration for us!
I was inspired by this Santorini Greece Wallpaper. Kent and I traveled to Greece many years ago - and took a boat to Santorini - it is really lovely there with it's white and blue stucco houses and the gorgeous blue ocean!
I made my background with encaustic wax melting the wax on a craft iron and 'ironing' over glossy paper. It gives such a great textured background. I die cut the neighborhood die out of watercolor paper, cut it in half and layered one section over the other with foam dots. I die cut a frame using a rectangle nestability, also out of watercolor paper, stamped the sentiment on the bottom and layered it over the encaustic wax panel. Then I adhered it all to a white card base.
