This is my card for Polly's inspirational Lend An Ear Tickle a Teapotter challenge.
What I really wanted to do was created a galaxy background with little sunflowers for stars, but I'm still struggling after being sick, and compromised with this.
For my sky, instead of watercolours as in the Outer Space tutorial (link in Polly's challenge), I sprayed my card with cobalt acrylic spray, and then sprinkled some Brusho powder over it and misted with water. When dry, I spattered with dilute white acrylic and stamped all my stars with DOX Wild Honey. It wasn't quite as yellow as I was hoping, so after adding the layer of SN clear glitter pen, I went over them.all with a yellow Sharpie.
The foreground is simply the die cut from Kraft with yellow card behind for the windows, and some of the detailed bits sponged with brown and inlaid.
I edged it with a white gel pen, added it to done crimped sunflower yellow card and a black base. Fun to make, but I'm still dreaming of my sunflower stars! I was meant to be off work today and was planning to play, but I was asked if I could go in :-(.

You know us stampers ---we are like the mail man as we trudge on to make our cards even if we are not up to it---LOL--a sweet scene you have created with all that you added here and there and it turned out great---dream on about your sunflower stars and your wish may come true!

Well, this is very pretty! I love the shimmer. I have used Brushos with spray starch, but may have to try the acrylic spray. You have created a beautiful effect.

Sabrina, your compromise is gorgeous! Love the gorgeous sky with the beautiful swirls and the stars resemble little sunflowers. I think a lot of Teapotters are hoping this will end up in their mailbox.
