I've been absentee cardmaking due to some hand issues that will probably end up in surgery, but the orthopedic doctor prescribed some thumb braces, which helped a lot and lasts as long as I wear them, with a few twinges of pain and clumsy fingers while I craft. With that said, I had to try to see how many challenges I could put my one card into.
1. MMTPT494 - Teapot Tuesday - January 9, 2018 - All we need is the SUN: Bring a little sun to Angie Bode (ohmypaper!), a fellow teammate in the Favorites Forum, to cheer her up after a pretty traumatic automobile accident. Sorry I'm late Angie...can I blame busyness with 2017 BEST notifications?
2. DD9ABC20T - Alphabet Challenge - Letter T/ Double Challenge: use glaze. T = Thinking of You/ Double: glaze on my sun.
3. WT669 - Ways to Use It - January 3, 2018: New Year/ New to You...make a card with something new...perhaps it was a Christmas gift. My panda stamps set is brand new to me...Stampin' Up "Panda Party."
4. MIX259 - Mix-Ability Challenge - January 12, 2018. Two Different Mediums, plus a New Die, Stamp, and Stencil. This will be my first entry ever in this challenge. I haven't ever thought I used mixed mediums, but then I'm reading they include paper, dies, inks, embellishments...so I guess I do...I always thought it was making all those fancy background! My mediums are paper, computer-made sentiment/verse, Copic markers, glaze, and sequins, plus my new Party Panda stamp, my new Stitched Scallop border die, and finally my new circle stencil, which I just made for this card out of acrylic and a 1-inch circle punch.
5. IC632 - Inspiration Challenge - January 13, 2018. Browse the UncommonGoals website and find inspiration to make your card. My inspiration is a panda night life here: https://www.uncommongoods.com/produc...nda-nightlight.
6. F4A413 - Free for All - January 19, 2018 - Make a Scene. My scene is a trio of Pandas in their natural bamboo forest habitat.
7. USEIT2018 - Use It Challenge - ongoing all year: pull out those forgot and unused crafting toos. Always easy for me...I so enable myself that no way do I not have a hefty stash of begging to be used items! My unused items are: "Panda Party" stamp set, Stitched Scallop border die, Bouquet Bunch framelits, and Color Therapy paper pad, retired "Certainly Celery" cardstock.
Ingredients: Stampin' Up Paper: Cardstock - Always Artichoke, Certainly Celery (retired); Patterned dsp: Color Theory. SU Stamps: Party Pandas (SAB-201. Ink: Memento-Tuxedo Black. Dies: Stampin' Up: Bouquet Bunch Framelits (leaves); Simon Says: Scallop Stitches. Crystal Effects. Sequins: Pretty Pink Posh. Computer sentiment: Font-Viner Hand ITC 16.5/ Bold. Fussy-Cutting. Double Fishtails: hand-cut. Stenciled sun-Copic colored. Size: 4-3/4 x 6 inches.
