This is my card for Toni's WTUI challenge this week - you ccan find the challenge HERE.
I used Dina's great Layered Batik Resist tutorial, because I wanted to give it another go. I think I didn't use colours with enough contrast, so that there's not much obvious layering of the wildflowers, but I liked the finished card.
I'm sorry, I made this over the holidays when I was sick, and didn't make a note of all the stamps I used. Definitely the sentiment is TCP, and the Stampendous Agapanthus is there. I think the other wildflowers are Unity (Insightful Meadows), the big butterfly is TH flutter and the little ones are from a Penny Black cling set.
I followed the tutorial, making sure to allow plenty of drying time between each layer, I think I made this over two days. I spritzed it with water, distressed the edges and added it to a card base with a scored frame around the edges. The sentiment was stamped on a scrap, and I added a few little drops of Glossy Accents here and there.

This card is really gorgeous, Sabrina. I have never tried this technique. I think I'd better take a look at it. The emboss resist of the agapanthus and butterflies is so very beautiful! Feel better!!!

Beautiful card, Sabrina! Your card reminds me of a wildflower meadow early on a summer morning with wisps of fog creating the different colors. You've created such a nice depth with the subtle color changes in the flowers. Love the torn edges on your frame, great touch.

Oh, so pretty, Sabrina, love the look of the layered batik embossing. Wonderful choice of images and colors, and the distressed edges, too. I have yet to try this technique, but look forward to it.
