But I was also inspired by Melody: LacyQuilter. She loves the Natural Beauty stamp set and uses it a lot. It is one of my favorite oldies as well. I challenged her to use the set on a Christmas card and I played too.
Swiped the ink on some aluminum foil and squirted a bunch of water (Susie Australia style - I think of her every time I do this). Stamped the bg stamp from the set all over a panel (lots of Christmas words in it like magic, Joy, dream, believe) and then dipped it in the ink mixture a few times very lightly. Dried my panel. Stamped a whole page using the leaf stamp, sponged on old olive and then put a glob a glue on each. Smeared the glue over the leaf with my finger. The glue intensifies the color, adheres the glitter, and makes the leaf have extra texture so it bends and feels cooler than just paper. Let it all dry and then cut out a circle form for the wreath and layered them on the form. The form just has to be thin and in the shape of a circle - nothing perfect because you won't be seeing it. Then stamped one of the words at the bottom again (Magic) and popped it up. Tucked in a few berries because I had no white balls or no balls to paint white like the inspiration photo.

Oh my goodness Nancy - I have no words ..... the leaves are amazing and I will try that idea of wiping glue across them. The background colour and stamping is my idea of perfection! 5* 's for you today mf.

Nancy, I recognized that leaf stamp right away from one of my favorite retired SU sets. This is going right into my favorites so that I might one day soon case this beautiful card. Love the added touch of glitter and the scatterend berries. This is just a wonderful Chrismtas masterpiece.

Nancy, this is so gorgeous! I'll have to try that glue technique, because I love giving shape to leaves and flowers. And the background -- Awesome! I'd have never thought to use aluminum foil to put the ink on. Thank you for the wonderful challenge and playing with me.
