This week's colors are just made for a spooky Halloween card which works out perfectly since dessert is to make just such a card. I started this before my doctor's appointment today and was not really thrilled with how it was turning out and I spent the ride over to the doctor's thinking about a different stamp set and what I might make instead. I came home and almost went into the basement where my holiday stamps are stored to find one of those sets. But I went into my stamp room instead and saw what I had done so far and thought - wow, that could be good if I can figure out how to finish it. So I masked my moon and hills and sponged the sky. I stamped bats and gravestones, using my MISTI to get everything really dark. I added shadows and clouds and a greeting. I took a white colored pencil and added some highlights to everything. This is a borrowed idea from Michelle Zindorf, but I used different colors and a different layout. Now I can't wait to see what everyone else does!

Gasp! What a gorgeous, gorgeous Halloween card this is. I am surprised to read that you struggled a bit to pull this card together. Not because that does not happen, but because everything is so perfectly placed, sponged, shaded and highlighted that we would never know what went on behind the scenes creating this masterpiece. so glad you stuck with this because it is an incredible piece of art. I am putting this right into my favs! ~Karen.
