For Cathy's Way To Use It Challenge, I am submitting a paper purse that I designed. The challenge, "Tickled Pink" is in recognition of the National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, October. Cathy, thank you for this wonderful challenge.
Cathy asked to see pink animals on our projects. There are pink butterflies on the designer paper that satisfies that requirement. She is giving "extra points" if the project is humorous. I can't find humor in my submission, thus no extra points for me today!
I designed and made this purse earlier this week. It fits this challenge, so I decided to submit it. I created this paper purse for my 2-year old (almost 3) granddaughter who is my crafting partner! She loves crafting with me, and she especially loves it when I make her 3-D items. She uses the 3-D items (e.g., baskets, boxes, mini-purses, etc.) to carry around her small dolls' (i.e., 3″ tall) clothes and shoes. Sometimes she uses them as beds for her dolls.
She always tries, unsuccessfully, to get her little hand through the rather small handles of the smaller 3-D items. I knew I needed to create for her a larger purse with a long strap. Therefore, I created this purse with a long-braided strap that will meet her need. When I gave it to her, she immediately started stuffing her doll clothes into the purse and carrying it around with the strap on her shoulder. My objective was fulfilled, and she was a happy little girl!
I have to share that my granddaughter's favorite dies for us to use when crafting are the CottageCutz ones. She LOVES them! Fortunately, she didn't recognize that I didn't use any of them on her purse. LOL
There are additional pictures and details on my site if interested.
Thanks for viewing and commenting!!!
