Wendy's Free For All "Inspired by the 70's" Challenge and Anna's Mixed Media "Black and White and Read All Over" challenge combined really perfectly today.
I was born in 1980 and I've always been a little sad that I missed the 70s. I love all things 70s. The styles, the colors, but most of all the music (and records)! Not actually the rock, though. My favorite is the bubble gum pop singers of the 70s like Donny Osmond and David Cassidy. Or really just any pop from the 70s. But I couldn't exactly make a card about "Classic Rock" and start list a bunch of disco songs. So, I went online and found a website that listed the top 100 rock songs of the 70s and I just typed them in as my background. Perfect for Anna's challenge! The number one song listed was Stairway to Heaven, so I decided to leave that one off the background and print out the record label. How perfect that it happens to be red! I wonder if I have this 45 in my basement?
P.S. my four year old just looked at this card and said "Mamma Mia!" He's right. This 45 does look a lot like that ABBA record. One of his favorites. LOL!

Fun! I loved the bubble gum rock, as you refer to it....at the time it was the "normal" music and the heavy acid-rock was the stuff that rebellious kids listened to. Makes me smile that you enjoy listening to that fun, upbeat music from the 70's. I had a huge crush on David Cassidy, as did every young girl at that time! He was a cutie!!! Tks for sharing this walk down music-memory lane!

Thanks for all the fabulous memories that your terrific card and all of the fun comments from the girls has given me. I was 15 to 25 for the 70's and yep.....it was the best decade ever to be a girl!!!!! Great card Jen.

Fun creation celebrating the 70's - great tune, anyway. I admire (still) how you piece together the concept of your card, and then execute it so clearly. Love this card!
