I made this card for our wonderful new Son-in-law (since January); he is getting out of the Marines this month after faithfully serving and definitely sacrificing. He and our DD have waited patiently to begin this new chapter in their life together.
For the sketch, I used a star in place of the circle and hung a point off the edge. The blue star is white embossed and die-cut, then layered on a larger die-cut red star & popped up on Dimensionals. I crossed the card base with a paper strip and washi tape for the stars & stripes. Terrific sketch! Hope you can play along. I look forward to seeing what everyone creates. Thanks for looking.

A beautiful patriotic card. The sketch was perfect for your special card. Good luck to your new SIL and the new phase of his life. This is a lovely card for him.

This is such a fabulous card Diane! Your star is absolutely the "star" of the card and that washi tape is marvelous. What a wonderful card to bless your SIL.
