It's the 15th of the month...which means it's time for the Dueling Darlings challenge. This month our theme was "Midsummer Night's Dream" picked by Heather and Paola. Both ladies live in Canada. Our northern gals gave us the challenge of using a maple leaf (which was included) on our card to celebrate Canada's 150th birthday. I loved all the goodies that Heather sent to us!! Thank you!
Heather also included some links to see some quotes and phrases. I didn't realize that we still use some of these quotes and phrases from Shakespearean time. Such as "Love is blind"; "Too much of a good thing"; "Lie low" and "Break the ice. I know of one that my mom used often....never realized that it was a quote from Shakespeare. She would always say...."He's seen better days". I find I use this phrase in normal conversation....never questioning where it came from originally! Now I know!!
So do your own research and check out phrases and quotes of Shakespeare. You will be surprised as to what is a common phrase these days!
Thanks for popping in for a look!
