Sketch challenge 649. The newsprint work surface was so colorful that I added it to my photo.
The bg is multiple colors of TH distress Inks blended on distress paper, and then spritzed with water and dried with a heat gun. I blotted a wrinkled paper towel into brown and rubbed it over the dried paper. A metallic foil frame gave me a focal area. Two thin strips of bg paper edged in brown were glued at an angle under the frame. I had only a white rose with a clear stone, so I covered it in red, orange and pink alcohol inks and let it dry. It didn't take long. Even the clear center stone colored nicely. A couple of leaf die cuts under the flower, and a butterfly (that I found on the floor under my craft table), and the card is done. The sentiment came from a TH Ideology small talk pad. Fun sketch! TFL

And your card is also wonderfully colorful! I often think it's a shame that no one will see how pretty the scrap paper looks from underneath my card, or the back of an alcohol marker colored image. They're often so pretty and colorful! Thanks for sharing

Wow, two works of art, your card, and your work space.
