Shirley has challenged us to make a card with food on it today. As much as I would have loved to make a birthday cake card, I wanted to do something more out of the ordinary. I think this super fun peanut butter jellyfish fits the bill! http://www.tiddlyinks.com/peanut-but...digital-stamp/
Also, for today's MIX challenge, MariLynn has shared a video tutorial for the "Ghosting Technique". For that technique I used some pastel green paper and sponged on some Distress inks. Then I laid down a circle stencil and spritzed with water and blotted it with a paper towel to help pick up the ink. I didn't think it worked until it dried, then I could really see the circles. Cool and fun technique! Thanks, MariLynn!
After my distress BG dried (with some help from my heat tool) I printed on this computer generated sentiment and die cut a circle in the center. Also printed out the card with the jellyfish and sentiment inside and die cut a coordinating circle in that. I was inclined first to color the jellyfish purple or pink, but I wanted the card to work for a little girl OR boy, so I went with FL1 and FL2 for the colors to make it more orangey. I love the way it practically glows with those bright colors!
