Pam has given us some lovely colors this week. I keep saying I'm done making Christmas cards and then we get beautiful Christmas colors each Tuesday.
I went with the Faux Postage technique today, because there are so many amazing tutorials on this site, that I just want to try them all! This is from the second ever Technique Lovers' Challenge. I made my own stamp template in Microsoft Word, because I wanted them to be "Forever" stamps.
Then I sponged a Christmas glow for dessert from the bottom corner of each stamp. Thank goodness for the Stamp-a-ma-jig, it really helped get my wreaths in position. After I colored with markers and highlighted the berries with white gel pen, I popped up my book of stamps on a kraft paper package tied up with twine.
I think this card is perfect for the inside sentiment of the SU Home for Christmas set: "Though far and wide on earth we roam, at Christmastime our hearts come home." A perfect card to send to my brother in Albuquerque who can't make it home for Christmas this year.
