I have a whole box of the world’s ugliest gelli prints. I spent one afternoon bringing out the gelli plate again and decided to fix them. When doing gelli’s I always just use white paint and reinker for color to make clean up much easier. Well some are hopeless, horrendous color and useless patterns. My next fix is spread paint on the gelli, usually a neutral like ivory and dip the whole thing on the paint. That’s what I did with this background. Since it was void of any interest, I pulled out the stencils and randomly stenciled all over using various inks. The only downside is you may have a 1\8” thick coating of paint on it but it’s usable.
I inlaid my favorite tree die with Shimmer Sheetz. Stamped the flourish in Versamark and embossed in silver. I have an old template of a star so pierced and stitched it. The flourish was embellished with nail heads and a few more stitches added to the bottom. Thanks for stopping by.
