Lisa's WT608 challenge gave me the perfect reason to pull out this Penny Black critter set I bought a few months back AND to get my step-dad's birthday card finished before the craziness of the holiday season kicks in.
This card is another case of having a messy stamp room paying off. Had stamped and colored the dog but the layout just wasn't working out for me. Then I spied this die cut leftover sitting by my Big Shot. Laid it over my pup and the creative light bulb came on.
Inside sentiment: the more CANDLES, the BIGGER the wish.
Since he'll be 85, that should be good for a very big wish! Who wouldn't be joyful about that?

I love it when I have something in my desk that helps me finish a card. You did great on this one. Super cute pup and great job on adding that die cut to it. Thanks for playing along.

Oh, Debbie, you are a creative genius, and I LOVE this adorable (and giggly) pup! Fabulous layout too and wonderful coloring - as always, my friend! I love it! Hugs! xoxo

Now this is a belly laugh, super cute Debbie.... I'm usually the one that cleans up after every card..... But since DH retired, I leave things out a little longer. Not sure what it has to do with him retiring but it just happened that way. Love when you can take a couple of things left over and make an awesome card to make someone smile.
