I designed this to reflect the hole left in our hearts and lives when a beloved pet passes on - the puppy is actually stamped on a sheet of paper which is a folded insert in the card, stuck along the fold, so the whole inside is still blank.
First I created the card front, cutting an aperture in both the DP and the card front. I used a scrap piece of kraft embossed with Hardwood to make a little scalloped frame for it, sponging it with walnut stain to improve the contrast. Edges of the DP are also sponged. I added a couple of chevron stripes along the top.
Then I cut the insert, folded it and put it inside the card so as to position Puddles correctly. He's coloured with Polychromos pencils, and I just sponged in some colour behind him.

Another beautifully designed card, Sabrina. Great job incorporatingall those stripes. How inspired to use the hole to symbolize the loss if a beloved pet.
