This is my sample for Cathy's WTUI challenge this week - read all about here: WT588 Make It Masculine.
A friend in work wanted a thank-you card for her brother. The Snoopy one I uploaded last week is the one DH thought she should choose - he didn't really like this one. But she did , and it's the one she took.
I used tool dies and a circle punch, along with dry-wall mesh, for my background panel. Full details are in TLC438, the first post with instructions is linked HERE.
I edged it with Embossing Antiquities verdigris EP, and stamped a bit of texture beneath it for the bird to stand on.
He's stamped on a gessoed book page and coloured with pencils. The beak has Glossy Accents, and an extra wing is popped up. His bow-tie and hat are from IO Retro Masculine set. I cut the hat from a piece of Bazzill pulled apart faux-suede style.
And to finish I added the words cut from gold card.

Well, I hate to say it, but DH was soooo wrong. Both cards are equally awesome just in different ways. This is such a terrific guy card. Your bg is amazing, and you still got that tertific bird to stand out against tge bg. Love it.
