Hello, sweet friends! Hope you are having a wonderful weekend and enjoying the warmer weather. Here's the new Instant Garden digi that I used, and I started with a piece of plaid DP as my color palette. I colored my image and than fussed far too long before I decided on a layout (it often takes me longer to put a card together than coloring - sadly!). Anyway, I decided to use a set of dies that I bought a while ago with a mini scalloped circle, pierced inside around most of my image, and then decided to add some buttons and a piece of seam binding that I colored with a Copic marker. The tip for coloring seam binding with a Copic marker is to use a piece of plastic under the seam binding and keep coloring it until you are finished so it doesn't dry and leave "interruption marks." It works perfectly. There's an image without this sentiment inside, and I tried some other stamped sentiments that worked perfectly. But today I used the whole image.
So, sweet friends, thanks for taking a closer look at my card, and I hope you have a wonderful rest of the weekend. AND don't forget to check out the new Dirty Dozen gallery. We have two new Dirty Dozen gals and lots of beautiful cards. Here's a direct link to the gallery. I know they would love to be encouraged with your comments. It's a lot of work being on the Dirty Dozen Design Team.
Cheryl, your card is just so beautiful! Love the soft plaid dp, the image and your gorgeous coloring! Great tip to pick the dp first and then color the image to coordinate, the card looks so professional.

Taking time to create your layout paid off, as this if a wonderful way to showcase that stunning vine and sentiment. I love the plaid dsp and the color palette it provided. A real beauty, Cheryl!!
